CAOS POWER 50A Voltage Sensitive Relay Kit (VSR)

The CAOS POWER 50A Voltage Sensitive Relay Kit (VSR) is designed to seamlessly integrate with the CAOS POWER Battery Box, allowing you to set up a dual battery system in your vehicle. This fully automatic isolator switch ensures that your auxiliary battery charges safely while your vehicle is running and prevents your starter battery from draining when the engine is off.

How It Works:

• When the vehicle is running and the voltage reaches 13.2V, the VSR automatically connects the starter battery to the auxiliary battery, allowing it to charge.
• When the vehicle is switched off and voltage drops below 12.8V, the VSR isolates the auxiliary battery, preventing it from draining the starter battery.

VSR Kit Installation Notes:

• The VSR Kit Installation Instructions describe disconnecting one of the incoming positive wires from one of the four Anderson plugs to connect to the VSR.
• The positive wires from two of the four Anderson plugs are crimped together into one eye terminal.
• It is not necessary to split one of the positive wires off from the eye terminal—the double positive wires can be connected to the VSR.
• When using this option, those two Anderson plugs can only be used for 12V input or output when the VSR is active (voltage above 13.2V).
• The other two Anderson plugs (not connected through the VSR) can still be used to power 12V devices when the main switch is on, regardless of the VSR state.
